Our
Story

Owned and Operated by Early Childhood Educators Since 2015

Jordan and Carmen Nathaniel are dedicated Early Childhood Educators with a steadfast belief that every child deserves access to a quality Montessori education, regardless of family income. Driven by this vision, they established Cardan Montessori Center.

As new parents, Jordan and Carmen began planning for their child's educational future and quickly discovered the challenges of finding quality care tailored to the unique skills and needs of each child. They were particularly disheartened to learn that many centers offering exceptional curricula were financially out of reach for young, low-income families like theirs. Relying on government childcare benefits often kept them and others from accessing Montessori and other innovative learning environments. This reality not only feels unjust but perpetuates a cycle where disadvantaged families remain isolated from high-quality educational opportunities.

In response, Jordan and Carmen set out to create a network of centers that bring the Montessori Method to all children, regardless of socioeconomic status, in communities across the United States. They have taken their first step by opening a small center in their own neighborhood. Cardan Montessori Center is committed to providing affordable

access to Montessori curriculum, ensuring that children from lower-income families can embark on their educational journey with a strong foundation—the Montessori way.

Together, they are working to transform early childhood education and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in their community and beyond!
